Timely service. Great quality work
HSS (Harper Special Services) have exceptional employees. Anthony List and Jeremy Athex came on the initial visit ( which was the same day that they were contacted). They were called because of a refrigerator leak. Both men were very careful with removing the refrigerator and the boards. They seem to take pride in their jobs. Chuck Ferrell came the next day to survey the area that was damaged. He had a very pleasant demeanor. Scott Stallings came on the third day to make sure that the affected area had completely dried. It had, so he removed the equipment. He was also very pleasant. Each of them were very respectful to us and our property. If you want professionalism, efficiency, integrity, and honesty, HSS would be the company to call!
Our family had major flooding in our home, and we were overwhelmed trying to clean up on our own. My insurance recommended Harper Specialist Services, and less than an hour after requesting a call back, Lacey reached out. She was kind, quick, and got everything scheduled right away. Over the next week, Max, William, Jeremy, Dylan, Ethan, and Evan came out daily to pull up flooring and dry out our home. They were professional, respectful, and worked hard every single day. Chuck, the manager, kept in touch with me throughout the entire process so I always knew what to expect. I highly recommend Harper Specialist Services. Their communication, professionalism, and compassion made a stressful situation so much easier for our family.
In February, we experienced a bit of a setback at home that required some reconstruction. The process was quite stressful, but we couldn’t have imagined how much more so it would have been without Harper Special Services. Our project manager, Kaely, was fantastic. She was both professional and personable, which made the entire process so smooth. She was always attentive, available, and treated our home with the utmost care. She also had a fantastic team that she managed so well! We’re really happy with the new work that was done, and we’d definitely recommend Harper Special Services to anyone, especially Kaely Duckworth she is the best.
Harper Special Services quickly responded to our call for help to repair our home after it was was severely damaged and left uninhabitable when a tree was blown down on it during Hurricane Helene in September 2024. Frequently Asked Storm Damage Restoration Questions

Yes. Harper Special Services provides 24/7 storm damage response throughout Savannah and surrounding communities. We can assess damaged areas, help stabilize exposed portions of the property, address storm-related water intrusion, begin cleanup, and coordinate necessary repairs.

Stay away from fallen power lines, unstable trees, damaged roofing, standing water near electrical equipment, and areas that may be structurally unsafe. If the property has exposed windows, roofing, or other openings, contact Harper Special Services so the damage can be assessed and temporary protection can be arranged as needed.

Storm damage can include wind-damaged roofing and exterior materials, broken windows, fallen-tree impacts, hail damage, structural damage, water intrusion, damaged ceilings and walls, and interior damage caused by severe weather. The services needed depend on which parts of the property were affected.

Yes. If storm damage leaves windows, doors, or other openings exposed, temporary board-up may be used to help secure the property until permanent repairs can be completed. Harper Special Services also has a dedicated emergency board-up service for properties requiring immediate temporary protection.

Yes. Temporary roof tarping can help protect an exposed or damaged roof from additional weather while permanent roofing repairs are evaluated. Harper Special Services provides dedicated emergency roof tarping services for these situations.

Storm-related water can enter through damaged roofing, windows, doors, siding, or other openings. After the source of continued exposure has been controlled, affected areas may require standing-water removal, structural drying, moisture monitoring, damaged-material removal, and repairs.

Harper Special Services provides residential and commercial roofing services, including solutions for storm-damaged roofs. If the roofing system requires permanent repair or replacement after a storm, the roofing portion of the project can be evaluated separately from the broader storm damage restoration work.

Harper Special Services provides debris removal for storm debris, tree limbs and branches, damaged building materials, broken glass, and other debris associated with property damage.

Storm damage restoration addresses the overall property after severe weather and may include emergency stabilization, cleanup, water damage, damaged materials, structural repairs, and reconstruction. Roof repair focuses specifically on repairing or replacing the damaged roofing system. A storm loss may require both.

The timeline depends on the type and extent of damage, whether the property requires temporary stabilization, how much water entered the structure, materials affected, repairs required, and availability of replacement materials. Smaller losses may be resolved more quickly, while extensive structural damage or reconstruction can require a longer project.
