We recently worked with Harper Special Services (HSS) after water damage from a leaking shower required replacing all the hardwood floors on the first floor of our home. HSS was recommended by USAA, and now we completely understand why.

From start to finish, the entire process was organized, efficient, and professionally handled. HSS coordinated directly with our insurance company, scheduled packers to carefully remove our belongings, helped us select materials for both the new hardwood floors and the shower remodel, and managed every detail of the project. Their team installed beautiful new hardwood flooring, completed precise tile work in the new shower, painted all baseboards and trim, and even tackled the ceiling in our 20+ foot living room along with all the walls.

We especially want to recognize General Contractor Kaely Duckworth, who checked in with us almost daily and always responded quickly whenever we had questions. Her communication and attention to detail made a stressful situation so much easier. Project Manager Bernardo was also fantastic. He stayed on top of the work, kept everything moving smoothly, and maintained clear communication throughout the project.

This was a major job, yet the entire project was completed in just over three weeks. The results exceeded our expectations, and we truly could not be happier with how everything turned out.

Due to water damage and mold from a leaking window, we called HSS. They were quick to respond and the remediation team did a thorough job of cleaning and drying the area. Then the repair team took over to rebuild the wall - it looks better than it did before the damage. They were also very helpful in communicating with my home owners insurance and providing the paperwork I needed to get reimbursed for the work. Thank you to Brian M. Absolutely outstanding experience with HSS. Our Project Manager, Brian Musgrave, was incredible. He was proactive, responsive, and on top of every detail. The final result exceeded expectations, and we’re already planning future work with Brian and HSS. If I could leave six stars, I would!

The best of the best!!
I had a roof leak to the interior of my home, and HSS went above and beyond my expectations! They responded very quickly, were extremely professional, and are apparently perfectionist ;), as you can’t tell a single thing ever happened! My home is just as beautiful as before! Anthony List/Lead Mitigation Technician and his team were the best at drying things up and preventing mold. Then, Brian Musgrave/Project manager and his team were the best at restoring my house to its beautiful prior condition!! They even worked directly with insurance, so I had zero stress!

We used Harper’s Special Services for a water damage claim. They were very professional during the entire process. I recommend them to anyone with an insurance claim. In fact, I recommend them for any home renovations. Their contractors were detailed and they did not leave any mess or debris behind. They completed the job on time. This company has an efficient system for completing all repairs. Kaely was our project manager and she did a wonderful job explaining the process. I work with contractors daily and this was by far the best company I have worked with.

Harper Special Services quickly responded to our call for help to repair our home after it was was severely damaged and left uninhabitable when a tree was blown down on it during Hurricane Helene in September 2024.
Kaely D. and John L. helped guide us through the long and bureaucratic recovery process which included dealing with the insurance claims process, government permitting, and public utilities. We are sincerely grateful for their professionalism, expertise, and coordination of the various contractors over the months that it took to repair and restore our house!
